چکیده
The accuracy of QRS detection and premature ventricular beat (PVB) recognition by an on-line computer system was evaluated in a prospective study. Long-term studies in six cardiac patients and short term studies in thirty revealed a QRS detection accuracy of 99%. PVB accuracy was tested in twenty-eight patients for a total time of 415 minutes. About 10% of the heart beats in this group were recognized as PVBs by the cardiologist; 90% of these were correctly identified by the computer system. False positive PVBs were less than 1 % of the PVBs. The major types of PVBs missed were fusion beats and late PVBs. Some were unrecognized because of coincident excessive movement artifact. The computer system appeared to be sufficiently reliable to warrant further clinical studies.

Continuous and Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring Based on ECG and SpO2 Signals By Using Microsoft Visual C Sharp
Background: One of the main problems especially in operating room and monitoring devices is measurement of Blood Pressure (BP) by sphygmomanometer cuff. Objective: In this study we designed a new method to measure BP changes continuously for detecting information between cuff inflation times by using vital signals in monitoring devices. This will be achieved by extraction of the time difference ...
متن کاملReal-time acoustic tomography system and the experience of Caspian current sea monitoring
The Acoustic Tomography (AT) systems are used to monitor long-term and continuous flow in rivers, seas and oceans. One of the disadvantages of existing systems in Iran is the inability of real-time/automated measurements. In this study, by adding a raspberry Pi computer to the system and performing the required programming, it was possible to do online monitoring. The data are transferred to th...
متن کاملDesign and Evaluation of a Pressure and Temperature Monitoring System for Pressure Ulcer Prevention
Introduction Pressure ulcers are tissue damages resulting from blood flow restriction, which occurs when the tissue is exposed to high pressure for a long period of time. These painful sores are common in patients and elderly, who spend extended periods of time in bed or wheelchair. In this study, a continuous pressure and temperature monitoring system was developed for pressure ulcer preventio...
متن کاملFeasibility Study of Real-time and Automated Monitoring of Iranian Rivers using 50-kHz Fluvial Acoustic Tomography System
Acoustic Tomography (AT) technique is an innovative method for real-time river monitoring. In this study, not only the accuracy of flow velocity measurement using 50 kHz AT system which is appropriate for narrow rivers (most Iranian rivers) is evaluated, but also its performance is compared with 30 kHz one which is used in wide rivers. The comparison results showed that the velocity resolutions...
متن کاملClassification of ECG signals using Hermite functions and MLP neural networks
Classification of heart arrhythmia is an important step in developing devices for monitoring the health of individuals. This paper proposes a three module system for classification of electrocardiogram (ECG) beats. These modules are: denoising module, feature extraction module and a classification module. In the first module the stationary wavelet transform (SWF) is used for noise reduction of ...
